My sacred departures

WILD WANDERER – COWBOY SHOT #1

departure

Travels are a sacred thing, you dream about it, you plan it, in your head and in your body.

You save a chunk of your time, you compare plane’s ticket, then you finally book it. You can’t turn back, you are about to leave.

Days, weeks or months pass by, depending on how long you have planned your trip ; it’s then time to pack – 1 small item 40×30×15 + 1 CABIN BAG 12 kg max – to choose essential items, to sort them, to weigh and gauge : 1 small item 40×30×15 + 1 CABIN BAG 12 kg max !

And in between, you dream, you hope, you wait (im)patiently.

Since my first travel, I have fine-tune my routine- backpack, essential items, triage and mood swings -, packing decides what kind of traveler I plan to be this time…

I travel like I wokld take the clothe, swearing solemnly that I’ll collect every adventure, in a holy quest of what the world has gathered for me.

I plan less and less my travels ; but small or big, here or there, close by or to the end of the world, they are still my sacred ground, my endless promice for a new me.

When I left to Berlin, I missed that vital step – the drumroll -, I didn’t have then any other option than missing my departure…

Not today, not this time !

Today, this time, I am ready, I have been courted, tamed, mesmerised by my upcoming travels. I have dared to follow the magic call of wilderness. I am leaving light hearted, my backpack perfectly weighted and sized, just to get enough room for my next wandering exploration.
