Secluded

CARTE BLANCHE #20

secluded

I can’t stand it anymore
To live in between those walls
Where you don’t laugh
To live through those habits
In which you don’t live

I can’t stand it anymore
Those missed encounters
Those missing encounters
Those days and hours
Painful reminder
Of our absence

Memories fade away
Evanescent
Inefficent

Present prevails
to replace absences
Present interferes
to erase silences

And I?
Little soft heart
Little tired heart

I am swept away
by my waves
I am burned in
by my tears

I surround myself
In between those walls
Where you don’t laugh
I embrace myself
Through those habits
In which you don’t live

I praise my running memories
I urge my absent encounters

I surrender to present
I deny outbreaks
I pray for pieces

Of my broken heart Of my breaking heart

I bargain with my hope
I flirt with my despair
